A2P 10DLC (Application-to-Person, 10-Digit Long Code) is a mandatory US carrier framework. Any business sending SMS from a software platform or business number — appointment reminders, alerts, notifications, marketing — must register before messages can be delivered.
✓
Who must register?
Any organization sending outbound SMS to customers, regardless of volume. There is no minimum message count. One message a month still requires registration.
✓
What happens without registration?
AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon will block or silently filter your messages. Recipients won't receive them and you won't get a delivery failure notice. Filtering starts immediately — there is no grace period.
✓
How long does it take?
Brand registration: 24–48 hours. Campaign approval: 1–5 business days. Plan ahead before launching any SMS-dependent workflows.
A
Company / Brand Information
Legal business name (as registered) · EIN / Tax ID · Business address · Business website URL · Primary contact name, email, phone · Business type (LLC, Corp, Sole Proprietor)
B
Your Message Use Case
Decide what type of messages you'll send: Customer Notifications, Appointment Reminders, Two-Factor Authentication, Marketing/Promotions, Customer Care, or another category.
💡 Each distinct use case needs its own campaign
C
Two Sample Messages
Write 2 real example messages you plan to send. They must include your business name and STOP opt-out instructions, and must match your chosen use case.
D
Opt-In Method Description
Explain exactly how customers agreed to receive your messages — web form checkbox, signed agreement, verbal consent, etc. Vague descriptions are the #1 reason campaigns get rejected.
E
Privacy Policy URL
A publicly accessible link to your company's privacy policy is required by carriers. If you don't have one, you'll need to create it before registering.
Complete steps 1–3 yourself in the portal first. Then fill out the form in Step 4 so Skyretel can assign your approved campaign to your phone numbers.
1
Log in to your Skyretel portal
Use the credentials from onboarding. Go to the Messaging or SMS section of your dashboard.
2
Register your Brand
Click "Register Brand". Enter your legal name, EIN, address, and contact info. Submit — approval takes 24–48 hours.
3
Register your Campaign
Once brand is approved, click "Register Campaign". Select use case, enter sample messages and opt-in description. Approval takes 1–5 business days.
💡 Not sure which use case? Email us before submitting
4
Copy your Campaign ID
Once approved, note your Campaign ID from the portal. You'll enter it in the submission form below so Skyretel can link it to your numbers.
Campaign rejected? Don't resubmit immediately. Contact Skyretel support — we'll review the rejection reason and help you correct it before trying again.
✅
Details Received!
Thank you! Skyretel has your A2P registration info. We'll link your campaign to your numbers within 1–2 business days and send a confirmation email.
What happens next?
You'll receive an email once your numbers are SMS-enabled.
Questions? support@skyretel.com
QDo I need to register if I only send a few messages a month?
Yes. There is no volume minimum. Any business-to-consumer SMS requires A2P 10DLC registration regardless of how many messages you send.
QCan one brand registration cover multiple campaigns?
Yes. You register your brand once. Each distinct message type (e.g., appointment reminders vs. marketing) needs its own campaign registration and its own monthly fee.
QWill Skyretel register on my behalf?
No. Registration must be completed by your organization as the legal sender of the messages. Once approved, Skyretel handles assigning the campaign to your numbers.
QWhat if my campaign registration is rejected?
Contact Skyretel support before resubmitting. Common causes: vague opt-in description, sample messages that don't match the use case, or missing STOP language. We'll help you fix it.
QHow will A2P fees appear on my invoice?
By default, as itemized pass-through charges. If you prefer a flat monthly SMS add-on, select that in the form above and contact us to confirm a rate. Either way, these costs are the customer's responsibility.
QDo I need a privacy policy?
Yes — carriers require a publicly accessible privacy policy URL as part of A2P brand registration. If you don't have one, create a basic one before registering.
